I am an unsuccessful, frustrated gardener. Plants fear me. They fear when I purchase them. They fear when I pay them attention. They fear my neglect.
I really suck at gardening.
But my main failing, is that I am also disorganized. So frankly, I can't even learn from my mistakes.
Even my successes are failures.
What were those tomatoes that grew so well? Where did they come from? When did I plant them? Did I spray them with anything? Would a monkey have a better chance at reproducing those tomatoes than me? (the answer is yes).
So in hopes that I could possibly learn from what the hell I did in the past, I am putting together this journal to track my goings on in the garden. Maybe, just maybe, I might learn something.
Glad I found your blog. I feel pretty much the same way about gardening!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I live a couple of hours north of you, and the spring season is short!
Have you tried winter gardening? There's lots you can plant and the bugs and diseases are few. It is the best season for me!
Thanks...
ReplyDeleteI have tried my hand at veggie gardening for around 4 or 5 years. I started off with almost no success planting directly in the ground. I have now moved on to planters with water reserves.
So I have some experence in the winter gardening.
This blog is really just a journal for my records. I have a hard time writing stuff down and keeping track of it. This is something a computer is actually useful for.
